City Center Partnership
Marketing & Promotions
Marketing & Promotions works to increase visitors and attract customers by promoting City Center Mankato as an unique and interesting designation–helping both the businesses of the City Center and the region as a whole. This is accomplished through events, brochures, social media and a City Center destination and business website. Key projects include:
- Alive After 5 (2009-present)
A late summer family friendly free concert series in Civic Center Plaza with food, drink and live music.
- City Center Website (2009-present)
Originally created in 2009 and completely rebuilt in 2014, the City Center Mankato website is a hub of information including all City Center businesses, destination information, the CityArt initiatives and City Center Partnership content.
- KEYC Community Spotlight (2014-present)
A monthly television spot on KEYC where City Center Partnership staff highlight the latest news and information in the City Center and Partnership projects.
- Hockey Night in the City Center (2012-present)
Hockey Night is the annual kickoff to the Minnesota State, Mankato Hockey Season with live music, food & drinks and is a collaborative effort between MSU Athletics and the City Center Partnership.
- Social Media (2011-present)
To ensure the City Center maintains a presence in the digital world, the City Center Partnership manages various social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter.
- Brochures – City Center Guide (2015-present)
For the visitor wanting a brochure in hand, the City Center Guide highlights most businesses a visitor would be looking for along with some key destinations to explore.
- Direct Marketing (ongoing)
