City Center Partnership


CityArt (CA) grew out of an Aesthetics & Livability Committee project and works to enhance the quantity, quality and prominence of public art in the City Center.  CityArt is a joint program of the City Center Partnership and Twin Rivers Council for the Arts dedicated to bringing public art to the community.  Key projects include:

  • CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour (2011-present)
    An annual rotating sculpture tour that places public art on city sidewalks with the public’s favorite being purchased and retained permanently as the People’s Choice.  |  Learn More
  • CityArt On the Go (2013-present)
    An initiative to place public art on public infrastructure throughout the City Center.  |  Learn More
  • SiloArt (2019)
    Australian artist Guido van Helten will create a one of his larger-than-life murals on the Ardent Mills silos in City Center Mankato’s Old Town District, right in the heart of the downtown. | Learn More
  • Public Sculpture Sales (2011-present)
    Sales of individual sculptures from the CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour are facilitated by the City Center Partnership and Twin Rivers Council for the Arts and can remain in a private collection or (if approved by the municipality) donated to the public.  |  Learn More
  • Mankato on the Move (2012-present)
    A joint initiative by the Blue Earth County Historical Society, City Center Partnership, City of Mankato and Visit Mankato; Mankato on the Move is an audio tour service providing audio information at key destinations.  |  Learn More
  • PublicArt (2009-present)
    A directory and brochures of all public art in the City Center was created and now maintained by the City Center Partnership.  |  Learn More
