Business Development & Retention
Business Development & Retention (BDR) works to enhance the City Center as a viability place for business and investments. Key projects include:
- Business Walk Program (2017)
Business Development & Retention volunteers visit each business in a few-block portion of the City Center to gain insight on business needs, trends and people.
- City Center Marketplace Analysis (2017)
An in-depth project consisting of unique research and analysis to gather the information to enhance business/developer retention and attraction in the City Center, culminating in a printed publication.
- Front Street Connectivity Plan (2012-2014)
A district enhancement and community engagement project leading to a pedestrian focused redesign of Front Street, the first principle commercial corridor in the city’s history.
- Business Focus Groups (2011, 2012)
A business engagement process that assists in gauging issues affecting business growth that helped set priorities for the City Center Partnership.
- Vacancy Inventory (2011)
An analysis of the total vacancy rate in the City Center that has now been incorporated into the City Center Market Analysis.
